Getting Started: Your First 5 Minutes on YegnaClub

Welcome to YegnaClub. If you are new here, this guide will walk you through everything you need to do in your first five minutes to set up your account and make your first qualifying purchase. It is simpler than you might think.

Step 1: Create Your Account

Head to yegnaclub.com and click "Join YegnaClub." You can sign up using your email address or through Google authentication. We will ask for your name and email. That is it. No credit card required, no lengthy forms. Your account is free and will always be free.

Once you sign up, you will be taken to a brief onboarding screen where you can learn about how the platform works and set up your profile.

Step 2: Add a Recipient

One of the first things you will want to do is add a recipient. This is the person in Ethiopia who will receive the funds from your Family Balance. Go to your Dashboard and find the Recipients section. Click "Add Recipient" and enter their full name and phone number. The phone number is important because most remittance services in Ethiopia deliver funds via mobile money or bank transfer linked to a phone number.

You can add multiple recipients if you support more than one family member. When you initiate a withdrawal later, you will choose which recipient should receive the funds.

Step 3: Browse Partner Stores

Now that your account is set up, head to the Stores page. Here you will find all of our partner retailers organized by category. You can browse by category (electronics, fashion, beauty, home, and more) or search for a specific store. Each store listing shows the commission rate, so you know how much of your purchase will flow back as rewards.

Take a moment to see which stores you already shop at. Chances are, several of your regular retailers are already on the platform.

Step 4: Make Your First Purchase

Found a store you want to shop at? Click the "Shop Now" button on the store card. This will open the retailer's website in a new tab. A tracking cookie is placed when you click through, which is how the retailer knows to credit YegnaClub with a commission for your purchase.

Important tips for a successful tracked purchase:

  • Always click through the YegnaClub link before shopping. If you go directly to the retailer's website, the purchase will not be tracked.
  • Complete your purchase in the same browser session. If you close the tab and come back later, the tracking cookie may expire.
  • Disable any other cashback extensions (like Rakuten or Honey) for the session, as they can override the YegnaClub tracking cookie.
  • If you add items to your cart through YegnaClub but check out hours later, the tracking should still work in most cases, but sooner is better.

Step 5: Watch Your Dashboard

After making a purchase, return to your YegnaClub Dashboard. Within a few hours to a few days, you should see a pending commission appear. This means the affiliate network has registered your purchase and reported it to us. The commission will show the estimated total amount and how it breaks down into your Family Balance, User Credit, and platform fee.

Remember that commissions start as "pending" and typically take 30 to 90 days to be confirmed by the retailer. This waiting period exists because retailers need to account for returns, cancellations, and fraud checks. Once confirmed, the commission moves to "available" status, and you can withdraw it.

What Happens Next

From here, it is just about building the habit. Every time you shop online, take a few seconds to check if the retailer is on YegnaClub first. Over weeks and months, your Family Balance and User Credit will grow steadily. When your available balance reaches $10 or more, you can initiate a withdrawal to send funds to your recipient or cash out your User Credit to PayPal or your bank account.

Some members earn a few dollars a month. Others, especially during holiday shopping seasons or major purchases, earn significantly more. The key is consistency. The more of your regular shopping you route through YegnaClub, the more your family benefits.
